Kalpana Moorthy

Kalpana Moorthy,
Physiotherapist

Kalpana is our Clinic lead physiotherapist. As an accomplished Registered Physiotherapist, she is in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.

With 2 decades of experience in Canada, the Caribbean and India, Kalpana empowers patients through education using preventive techniques.

Kalpana optimizes the musculoskeletal function of each patient for immediate and long-term results.  She specializes in musculoskeletal problems, sports injuries, motor vehicle accident related pain and tendinitis. She treats a wide range of problems in all age groups and activity levels with an emphasis on hands-on treatment and exercise therapy.

Kalpana’s special interests include rehabilitation after hip or knee replacements, management of osteoarthritis and osteoporosis, pelvic floor dysfunction, Temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMJ), and ergonomics. She uses the Mulligan Technique for pain reduction and improved range of motion. As an experienced Physiotherapist she constantly strives for best results for her patient. 

She draws a broad skill set that includes Manual therapy and Acupuncture. As a certified Reiki-Level 1 &2 practitioner Kalpana finds the core of the pain to eradicate it at source. When necessary, Kalpana uses her expertise with Orthotics, Bauerfiend Certified Custom braces and Compression stockings to help patients get moving again.

Kalpana says, “I love helping people! As a physiotherapist I can help people with pain and bring their life back to motion. I get satisfaction when I see that someone feels stronger.”

She enjoys travelling, reading and spending time with her children.

Fatima Mufaddal

Fatima Mufaddal,
Physiotherapist

Fatima has over 6 years of Physiotherapy experience in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. Fatima has great exposure in orthopedic, MSK and cardio respiratory areas. She is skilled in soft tissue mobilization, cupping and therapeutic exercises. She is known for Hard work and passion towards her profession. Fatima also fluent in Urdu, Panjabi and English.

As a committed lifelong learner in her spare time, she loves to Travel and spend time family and friends.

Sahibaa

Sahibaa,
Physiotherapist

Sahibaa is a Registered physiotherapist having more than 7 years of diverse experience in Orthopedic, Orthopedic, Neuro and Cardio-respiratory related areas. Sahibaa is skilled in therapeutic exercises, joint mobilizations, soft tissue release manual therapy, cupping and taping. Sahibaa is pursuing advanced certification in Pelvic health. She is focused on providing best-care treatment and education to the patients for swift recovery.

In her free time, Sahibaa likes to indulge herself in artwork, interior decoration, outdoor activities, travel and spending time with her friends and family.

Dr. Nooranie Davood

Dr. Nooranie Davood,
Chiropractor

Dr. Nooranie Davood is a Doctor of Chiropractic graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. She is an expert in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the neuromusculoskeletal system. She has great experience dealing with lower back pain, neck and shoulder disabilities and chronic pain management.

Dr. Davood is highly skilled in providing spinal joint manipulation and mobilization, ART (active release techniques), instrument-assisted soft tissue therapy, nutrition advice and rehabilitative exercises. Her patients know her for her kind approach, her calm demeanors and her excellent patient relation and bedside manners.

Dr. Davood is a member of College of Chiropractors of Ontario, Ontario Chiropractic Association, Canadian Chiropractic Association and Canadian Chiropractic Protective Association. In addition to English Nooranie is also fluent in Persian.

When away from her practices, she enjoys reading, cooking, writing poems and weightlifting. 

Nantha Kasi

Nantha Kasi,
Manual Osteopathic Practitioner

Nantha is a manual osteopathic practitioner at Physio Connect. She was a Registered Nurse (RPN) and Yoga Therapist (M.SC in Yoga). She finished her undergrad B.Sc. Kinesiology from York University and received her diploma in osteopathy (manual practice) from the National Academy of Osteopathy on the Toronto Campus.

Nantha applies her growing knowledge of traditional osteopathy, with its emphasis on the balance of the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of human existence, to advance the health of her patients. While recognizing the importance of patients' apparent physical discomfort, she will also give thorough attention to patients' emotional states. Nantha has extensive formal training in visceral, cranial sacral, and classical osteopathy, as well as continued experience as an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner, which enables her to provide the highest clinical treatment and care to her clients.

Nantha could help her clients with the following conditions: bladder incontinence, uterus misalignment, prostate issues, constipation, post-surgical scar removal, hiatal hernia, liver and gallbladder problems, balance pericardium ligaments, trachea misalignment, TMJ misalignment, sinuses opening, vertigo, headaches, migraines (cranial and visceral), anxiety, depression, osteoarthritis of hips, knees, sacroiliac joint, disk herniation, sciatica, frozen shoulder (even severe cases), disks protrusion (tingling sensation in the fingers), neck misalignment, newborn full body evaluation, pregnancy issues from the 1st to the last day and so on.

Erica Liu

Erica Liu,
Registered Massage Therapist

Erica is our talented Registered Massage Therapist. Certified through the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario, she specializes in therapeutic treatments and relaxation massage.

Erica understands how stress and pain become a cycle. She works to break that cycle by helping patients to reduce both their physical pain and mental stress.

Erica says, “I believe in treating with hands, and healing with heart.”

In her leisure time, Erica enjoys going to the gym to strengthen her own muscles.
